In 24 hours, more than 62 thousand new patients increased, 50 thousand people were cured, 899 infected people died; 20.25 lakh cases so far in the country

The number of infected in the country crossed 20 lakh on Thursday. 20 lakh 25 thousand 338 people have been found infected. A record 62 thousand 99 new patients have increased in the last 24 hours. So far, it is the highest in the data of infected people found in a single day. Earlier, on July 31, the maximum number of 57 thousand 486 patients had increased. With this, the number of active cases has also increased to more than 6 lakhs. Meaning that there are 6 lakh 7 thousand 130 patients left in the country who are undergoing treatment. The remaining 13 lakh 77 thousand 384 people have been cured. On Thursday, 50 thousand 141 people were discharged from the hospital while 899 patients died. The death toll has now risen to 41 thousand 638.

 

JEE and Neet UG petition for postponement

 

On the other hand, because of the fast-growing infection cases in the country, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for the postponement of the proposed JEE (Main) 2020 and NEET-UG in September. This petition has been filed by 11 students from 11 states. The petition sought the cancellation of the July 3 notice of the National Examination Agency (NTA), referring to the corona epidemic.

 

1 million new cases increased in just 21 days

It is a matter of concern that 10 lakh new cases were reported in the last 21 days. It took 169 days before it had 1 to 10 lakh cases. It is estimated that the pace of two million cases is slower than the US and Brazil.

It took 137 days for the same number of cases in the US and 143 days in Brazil. However, now the pace of getting infected in India has also increased like the US and Brazil. Every day more than 50 thousand patients are increasing here. The same patients are found every day in Brazil and America.

Former West Bengal Transport Minister Shyamal Chakraborty died of infection on Thursday. Chakraborty served as the Transport Minister of West Bengal from 1982 to 1996. He was also a two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He was hospitalized on 30 July after being infected.

 

Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) is investigating 6 lakh 64 thousand 949 samples in the last 24 hours across the country. With this, 2 crore 21 lakh 49 thousand 351 samples have been investigated in the country so far. There are currently 1370 testing centers in the country.

 

In Odisha, a record of 1699 new cases of infection occurred in the last 24 hours. On Thursday, the number of infected in the state has crossed 40 thousand. At the same time, the figure of the dead reached 235 with 10 deaths. Three patients died in Ganjam district in the state, two in Sundargarh and one each died due to corona infection in Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Keonjhar districts.

 

ICMR's first mobile Covid Testing Lab was launched in Karnataka. The state's Health Education Minister, Dr. K. Sudhakar inaugurated it. This allows 400 RTPCR tests to be done every day. The results of such tests are available in four hours.

 

In Delhi, 1076 new cases were reported on Thursday and 890 people were cured. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that with this, the number of infected people in the state has gone up to 1 lakh 40 thousand 232. Of these, 10 thousand 772 are hospitalized. He said that at present no decision has been taken on opening gym and yoga centers.

Madhya Pradesh:

 

Madhya Pradesh will now have a lockdown on Sunday only. No two-day Saturday and Sunday lockdown shall be imposed in any district. The markets will now be closed at 10 pm instead of 8. The night curfew will now be from 10 to 5 in the night. Now hotels and restaurants will be open till 10 pm. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan made this decision in a review of Corona through video conferencing.

 

Home Minister Narottam Mishra gave the information on the decisions taken in the Corona Review Meeting at the press conference. He said that on Thursday, 830 new cases have been received from Corona, while the corrected cases are 838. In Madhya Pradesh, the rate of recovery of corona patient is getting better every day. The recovery rate in our state has increased from 70 to 73.6. So far, 26902 people have become healthy.

 

Now the lockdown in the state will be on Sundays only once a week and the night curfew will be from 10 am to 05 am. In case of special circumstances of the districts, any other action regarding lockdown can be taken only with permission from the state level. Explain that the total lockdown was done in Bhopal from 8 am to 4 am on 5 July morning.

 

The Minister has said in the Corona Review that the Department of Health should issue a detailed guideline for "home isolation" of patients without symptoms and "home quarantine" for suspected patients, so that individuals who have enough space at home and who voluntarily Want to be "home isolation" or "home quarantine", they can be helped.

 

Rajasthan:

 

1151 new cases of corona were reported on Thursday. These include 204 in Alwar, 140 in Jodhpur, 130 in Kota, 109 in Jaipur, 92 in Bhilwara, 82 in Udaipur, 67 in Ajmer, 71 in Bikaner, 71 in Bharatpur, 40 in Ganganagar, 22 in Chittorgarh, 21 in Tonk, Churu. 21, 19 in Dungarpur, 17 in Banswara, 16 in Rajsamand, 15 in Jhalawar, 13 in Bundi, 12-12 in Pali and Jhunjhunu, 4 in Dhaulpur, 3 in Hanumangarh, 2 in Dausa, 1 in Karauli, Baran and Jalore. -1 got infected.

Bihar:

 

Harish Chandra Srivastava, Chief Justice of the Family Court of Patna Civil Court, died on Thursday from Corona. He was admitted to AIIMS on Wednesday. His health was very bad. The family then took him to the hospital where doctors admitted him.

 

The scope of the corona sample investigation in Bihar is increasing. A record of 60254 samples have been examined in the last 24 hours and 3416 new patients have been confirmed. This is the highest number of corona patients found in one day. On Thursday, 1450 people returned home after recovering.

 

The number of patients recovering is decreasing compared to getting new patients. This is the reason why there is a steady decline in the recovery rate. Currently, Bihar's recovery rate is 64.30 percent. However, the good thing for Bihar is that the infection rate here is also continuously falling. 10 days ago, 10 thousand samples were tested daily. Now it has reached more than 60 thousand.

 

The number of patients has decreased in proportion to increasing sample investigations. When 10 thousand samples were being examined, about two to two and a half thousand patients used to meet every day. But investigations increased 6-fold but the number of new patients increased from about 500 to one thousand.

 

Maharashtra:

 

The number of corona patients in the state has increased to 04 lakh 79 thousand 779. There were 11,514 new cases in the last 24 hours. The number of active patients in the state is now 1,46,305. 16,792 people have died. There have been 57 deaths in Mumbai within 24 hours. With this, the death toll has now reached 6648.

 

The state currently holds 9,76,332 people in the home quarantine while 37,768 people are in the institutional quarantine. The recovery rate in Maharashtra stands at 65.94%. While the death rate is 3.50%.

 

Meanwhile, the deprived Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar said in Pune on Thursday that the Maharashtra government should decide by August 10 to remove the lockdown implemented in the state due to the coronavirus. He also warned that if this does not happen, a protest will be launched.
