Indian Railways / IRCTC News: Now tickets will be deducted from counters as well, know the new rules of railways

Shramik special trains, Train list, Train news, Ticket Booking: Railways have changed the rules for online booking of tickets in view of frequent stoppage of IRCTC website and large number of laborers. The Railway Board said in an order on Thursday that ticket reservation counters will be opened at select stations from May 22. The order said that the railway will also allow reservation of tickets from the Common Service Centers (CSCs) through ticket agents from Friday.

 

It has been said in this order that the Zonal Railways have been instructed to direct the reservation counter according to local needs and conditions. These booking counters and CSC are closed since the lockdown came into force on 25 March. Earlier, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that booking of train tickets will start from Friday at around 1.7 lakh CSCs across the country, this facility will be available in remote places where the availability of computers and internet is less or not at all.

Railways said that reservation tickets will open in a phased manner from Friday and information will be given about their respective places and times as per local needs and conditions. The order of the Railway Board states that, according to the existing rules of the state governments, the operation of labor-specific trains will continue. These booking facilities will reduce the burden on passengers who depend on ticket counters to travel.

 

Online booking has started from yesterday - online booking of all trains running across the country has started from Thursday. People will now be able to book tickets on IRCTC website from 10 am everyday. According to the list released by Railways, 20 trains have been received in Bihar quota and 1 train in Jharkhand quota.

 

Railway tweeted and said that none of the 100 pairs of trains that will be run by the railways will have the facility of general bogey. With this, the railway has also released the list of all trains.

 

Changes in these rules too- Apart from this, Railways have made changes in many of their rules. According to the railway, now the validity of the ticket will be only for 30 days. Previously it was for three months. Only after this, it has been made mandatory to put masks and sanitizers with passengers in the train.
