The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) said that the rate of infection has decreased compared to earlier, but the danger has not yet been avoided. ICMR Director General Balaram Bhargava presented the weekly report of Covid-19 on Tuesday.

He said that in the festival season, corona cases have increased in Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Delhi. A record 4853 new patients were found in Delhi on Tuesday. So far, this figure is the highest for patients found in a day. Bhargava said that at this time everyone has to be vigilant. Covid-19 rules have to be followed for rescue. During this period, officers of the Ministry of Health and members of NITI Aayog were also present.

Strict lockdown will continue in Containment Zone

Meanwhile, the last week of October is going on and people were waiting for a new unlock guide. The Center clarified the situation on Tuesday and said that the guideline issued under Unlock-5 till October 31 will now be applicable till November 30.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said that there will be no restriction on movement within and across states and no separate approval will be required for this. During this period strict lockdown will also continue in the Containment Zone.

ICMR and the Ministry of Health also said

8% of those infected so far have been under 17 years of age. Very few cases have been reported in children below 5 years of age. This suggests that children may be spreaders (spreaders) rather than super-spreaders.

Not a single case has been reported so far in India in which Covid-19 patients have Kawasaki disease. Kawasaki is an auto-immune disease that affects children under five years of age.

Bharat Biotech's Kovaxin has been approved for the Phase-3 trial.

Cadila is also testing Phase-2. The Serum Institute has completed the Phase 2B trial. Trial results are yet to come from the US, Brazil, and South Africa.

The number of infected and deaths per 1 million has reduced considerably compared to other countries.
