In the recently held Vijay Hazare Trophy, he surprised everyone by performing brilliantly. Karun scored the most runs in this tournament and single-handedly took his team to the final. Karun scored the most runs in this tournament, 779, in eight innings at an astonishing average of 389.50 and a strike rate of 124.04. These include five centuries and one half-century.
