After this post, something miraculous has happened for Karun in the last two years and he has started knocking on the door of the Indian team again.
In the recently held Vijay Hazare Trophy, he surprised everyone by performing brilliantly. Karun scored the most runs in this tournament and single-handedly took his team to the final. However, in the final, his team Vidarbha had to face defeat against Karnataka. Karun scored the most runs in this tournament, 779, in eight innings at an astonishing average of 389.50 and a strike rate of 124.04. These include five centuries and one half-century. His best individual score was an unbeaten 163 runs.
