Former president of JNU Students Union and CPI leader will be called Congress from today. He will be given party membership at the Congress headquarters. Kanhaiya Kumar and controversy have been with Choli-Damana. In such a situation, the discussion is starting about how much they will be useful in the interest of the Congress party, which intends to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party from the power of the Center in 2024.

JNU episode

On 9 February 2016, some unidentified youths protested against the death sentence given to Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru on the JNU campus. Anti-India slogans were also allegedly raised during this demonstration. The then JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and Umar Khalid were arrested on charges of sedition. The hearing of this matter is going on in the court. After this incident, Kanhaiya Kumar suddenly came into the limelight.

His party passed a censure motion against Kanhaiya

Kanhaiya Kumar was also accused that he had misbehaved with the party's office secretary Indu Bhushan in Patna in December 2020. It is said that Kanhaiya Kumar was upset over the fact that a meeting of the Begusarai District Council was called in Patna, after which it was abruptly canceled. It was alleged that Kanhaiya Kumar got angry with this and had assaulted the office secretary. After this incident, an important meeting of CPI was called in Hyderabad. A motion of condemnation was passed against him for the incident of assault in Patna.

Doctors assaulted in Patna AIIMS

Kanhaiya Kumar was also accused of misbehavior by the junior doctors of Patna AIIMS. Kanhaiya had gone to see AISF's Bihar state secretary Sushil Kumar at AIIMS. Sushil was admitted to the trauma emergency ward of AIIMS. Junior doctors alleged that Kanhaiya was accompanied by around one and a half dozen supporters. Tried to go to all trauma emergency. First, the security guards prevented that number of people from entering the ward. After this, the supporters started shoving the guard and went inside. The junior doctor posted on duty in the ward also asked the supporters to go back but did not go. It was alleged that Kanhaiya's supporters also started manhandling the junior doctors. For a long time, there was a ruckus in AIIMS regarding this. The junior doctors stopped work at around 10 pm.

Fight in Durga Puja pandal

In Patna, the matter of assault in AIIMS had settled after Kanhaiya Kumar assaulted the members of the Durga Puja committee near the Durga temple located in the Bhagwanpur market of Begusarai. There was a fierce fight between the supporters of Kanhaiya and the workers of the local worship committee. During this, the heads of two workers of the worship committee exploded. The furious people broke the windows of half a dozen vehicles involved in Kanhaiya's convoy. FIRs were lodged in different police stations from both sides.

Kanhaiya had a meeting in Mansoorchak. He was returning to his village Behat after meeting with a convoy of vehicles. On the way, Kanhaiya stopped to meet the operator of a private coaching institute operating on the first floor of the bike showroom located in Bhagwanpur market. All the vehicles in his convoy stopped on the road. It got jammed. On this, the workers of the Durga Puja pandal committee, decorated next to it, asked the vehicles to the side. On this, a dispute started between both the parties. Suddenly the fighting started.

Kanhaiya Kumar lost from Begusarai by more than 4 lakh votes in 2019

Kanhaiya Kumar belongs to the Begusarai district of Bihar. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he also tried his electoral method from the Begusarai Lok Sabha seat. However, he had to face defeat against BJP leader Giriraj Singh by a huge margin of 4 lakhs. Begusarai has been considered to have the largest number of Bhumihar voters and Kanhaiya Kumar also belongs to the Bhumihar caste. So he failed to prove himself. Despite this, the party believes that a new face is needed in Bihar. He has organizational experience as a student leader. Bihar Congress leader Amarinder Singh says that Kanhaiya's entry will benefit the party as Kanhaiya is fighting the same issues and battles that Congress has been raising.
