Camera performance is another common feature between the two phones.

Both the POCO X8 Power and POCO X8 feature a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

However, their secondary cameras are different.

The POCO X8 Power gets an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, while the standard POCO X8 features a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies and video calls, the POCO X8 Power has a 32MP front camera, whereas the POCO X8 comes with a 16MP selfie camera.

10,000mAh Battery Makes POCO X8 Power Stand Out

The biggest difference between the two smartphones is their battery capacity.

The POCO X8 Power packs a massive 10,000mAh battery, making it the more battery-focused model in the lineup. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

The standard POCO X8 comes with a 9,000mAh battery and supports 67W wired fast charging. It also offers 22.5W wired reverse charging.

The combination of large batteries and fast charging is likely to be one of the biggest selling points of the new POCO smartphones.

Both smartphones run Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

POCO has promised four major Android/OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the new devices.

Both models are dual-SIM smartphones and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.

POCO X8 Power vs POCO X8: Which One Should You Select?

The POCO X8 Power is aimed at users who prioritise battery life, faster charging and stronger camera hardware. Its 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging, 32MP selfie camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and faster LPDDR5X/UFS 4.1 configuration give it a clear advantage over the standard model.

The POCO X8, meanwhile, offers a lower starting price while retaining the large 9,000mAh battery, 120Hz AMOLED display and 50MP OIS primary camera.

For buyers who want maximum battery capacity and faster charging, the X8 Power is the more feature-rich option. Those looking for a lower-priced alternative can consider the standard X8.
