After Kshatriya Karni Sena president Raj Shekhawat announced a reward for the policeman who killed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a ruckus started. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media, about which it is being claimed that angry people beat up Karni Sena president Raj Shekhawat because of the reward announced for the encounter with Lawrence Bishnoi.

What is the claim about Raj Shekhawat?

While sharing the video on Facebook, a person wrote, "The public has given the full amount to the warrior of Karni Sena who announced Rs 1,11,11,111 for the encounter of Lawrence Bishnoi. Pagdi na'ak means apologize to the turban." In this viral video, it can be seen that some people are trying to force Raj Shekhawat into a car. During this, his turban is seen falling due to force and pulling.

What is the truth behind the assault on Raj Shekhawat?

However, our investigation revealed that the video is old and is from before the statement of reward given by Raj Shekhawat. On reverse image searching the keyframes of the viral video, we found it shared on a social media platform by Raj Shekhawat himself on 9 April 2024. Along with the post, he wrote, "The turban has come off not only of Raj Shekhawat but of the entire Kshatriya community. The answer will be found."

Along with this, it was told in another post that Raj Shekhawat of Karni Sena, who was going to the BJP headquarters, was taken into custody by the police. In such a situation, it became clear in our investigation that the video is from the time when Raj Shekhawat was going to gherao the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar, Gujarat against the controversial statement given by BJP leader Parsottam Rupala about the Rajputs. But, as soon as Shekhawat reached Ahmedabad airport, Gujarat Police took him into custody.

Why did the controversy happen?

In fact, former Union Minister Parsottam Rupala had said in a meeting on March 22 that when the British were ruling us, the then Maharajas bowed down before the foreign rulers and even got their daughters married to them. The Rajput community protested condemning this statement. After this controversy, Rupala also apologized, but the protest did not stop.

Two days ago, Kshatriya Karni Sena President Raj Shekhawat had said on social media that the policeman who encountered Lawrence Bishnoi would be given Rs 1,11,11,111. Kshatriya Karni Sena will give this amount to the policeman who encountered Lawrence Bishnoi, the killer of our precious gem and heritage Amar Shaheed Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Not only this, the responsibility of the security and complete arrangements of the family of that brave policeman will also remain ours. "The controversy has been going on since then.
