The holy month of worship of Allah, Ramzan will begin with the sighting of the moon. There is a possibility of the moon being sighted on Monday. If the moon is sighted, Muslims will observe their first fast on March 12. The first Roza of this year will be the shortest and the last will be the longest.
On the other hand, Hafiz is busy reciting the Quran for the special Taraweeh prayers offered on the nights of this sacred month. This year, the first fast will be shortest at around 13 hours 20 minutes and the last fast will be longest at 14 hours 08 minutes. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the Muslim community regarding Ramadan.
There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the people regarding the moon in the Muslim-dominated areas of Saraiya, Bajardiha, Madanpura, Pilikothi, Nai Sadak, Dalmandi, Lallapura, Pathanitola, Sarai Hadaha. Especially the children were excited about it.
While men kept discussing the special Taraweeh namaz, women at home also remained busy in discussions about prayers as well as Sehri and Iftar. People in the areas also purchased kurta pajamas, lungi, and caps as part of preparations for Namaz. Whereas in mosques also, preparations for Taraweeh were being finalized.
Fasting is a duty of every Muslim
Shia Jama Masjid spokesperson Haji Farman Haider said that in Islam, fasting in Ramzan is a duty on every Muslim. It cannot be left out unnecessarily. Told that Ramadan is divided into three Ashars. The first 10 days are of mercy, the second 10 days are of forgiveness and the last 10 days are of freedom from hell. In this month, Allah Almighty bestows special blessings on his devotees. This is the reason why in this month the reward for one Farz is equal to seventy Farz and the reward for one Nafl is equal to one Farz.
