India captain Rohit Sharma could be on the verge of bringing the curtain down on his international career, with reports claiming the third ODI against England at Lord's may be his final appearance in Indian colors. According to The Indian Express, the BCCI selection committee has informed Rohit that he is not part of India's roadmap for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup, signaling a major transition toward a younger squad.

The selectors have reportedly left the final retirement decision to Rohit, though they have indicated that youngsters such as Yashasvi Jaiswal will be given greater opportunities going forward.
