Scindia's Mother Passes Away: Rajmata Madhavi of the Gwalior royal family passes away, CM and other leaders expressed grief

Madhavi Raje Scindia, queen mother of the Gwalior royal family and mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, died on Wednesday morning. She was 70 years old. Madhavi Raje was ill for a long time. He was admitted to AIIMS on February 15 and since then his health has been deteriorating.

 

Sources associated with Delhi's AIIMS said that Madhavi Raje breathed her last at 9:28 am. She was on a ventilator for the last few days and was fighting for her life. He was admitted to AIIMS on 15 February. He had pneumonia along with sepsis. Jyotiraditya Scindia is the BJP candidate from Guna-Shivpuri parliamentary seat, where voting was held on May 7. Even during the election campaign, Scindia kept visiting Delhi continuously.

Rajmata Madhavi Raje Scindia, mother of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, was originally from Nepal. He was related to the royal family of Nepal. His grandfather Judd Shamsher Bahadur was the Prime Minister of Nepal. She was married to Madhavrao Scindia in the year 1966.

 

Recruitment was done on 15th February

Madhavi Raje was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi on February 15 due to difficulty in breathing. She was on a life support system (ventilator). Jyotiraditya himself had informed about Rajmata being ill during the election campaign in Guna. On March 2, BJP had made Scindia its candidate from Guna-Shivpuri in the list of 195 candidates. Three days later, Scindia held his first program in his area. During this, he had told that Rajmata had been ill for the last few days. My brother, sister, and parents are also among you. I can't see the family in trouble. Hail has ruined the crops. At such a sad time, I also had to come to meet you.


 

Jyotiraditya was close to his mother

Jyotiraditya is considered very close to his mother. Due to the mother's ill health, Jyotiraditya also stayed away from BJP programs. Had attended only the program of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After this, he remained continuously in Delhi. Even during the election campaign, he kept visiting Delhi from time to time. As soon as the election campaign ended, Jyotiraditya's entire family came to Delhi.


 

This statement was issued from Scindia's office

A statement issued from the office of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, "With great sadness, we want to share that Rajmata Saheb is no more. Madhavi Raje Scindia, mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and queen mother of the Gwalior royal family, was undergoing treatment for the last two years." He has been undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital, Delhi for the last two weeks. He breathed his last at 9.28 am today.


 

Last rites will be held in Gwalior tomorrow

The last rites of Rajmata Madhavi Raje Scindia will be held in Gwalior. Earlier today, from 3 pm to 7 pm, his mortal remains will be kept for the last darshan at his residence at 27 Safdarjung Road in New Delhi. After this, he was brought to Gwalior for the last rites.

Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over the demise of the Rajmata of Gwalior. He wrote in X- Received the heart-wrenching news of the demise of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia's respected mother Madhavi Raje Scindia. Mother is the basis of life, her death is an irreparable loss to life. I pray to Baba Mahakal to grant the departed virtuous soul a place at his feet and strength to his family members to bear this deep sorrow.


 

Minister Lodhi expressed condolences

State Culture Tourism Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Dharmendra Lodhi has expressed grief over the demise of Rajmata Madhavi Raje Scindia by tweeting. He wrote - Received the sad news of the demise of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia ji's respected mother Madhavi Raje Scindia ji. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul at His feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.


 

Kamal Nath expressed grief

Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath has expressed grief over the demise of Rajmata Scindia. He wrote in X that the news of the demise of Madhavi Raje Scindia, wife of late Madhav Rao Scindia and mother of Jyotiraditya Scindia, is extremely sad and painful. I express my condolences and pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and to give strength to the Scindia family to bear this immense loss.
