Sixth Day of Vaccination: On receiving 600 cases of side effects, Health Minister said - this is normal, it happens in every vaccination

Since the commencement of vaccination on 16 January, there have been about 600 side effects cases in the country. There have also been reports of death after vaccination from some states. However, the postmortem report did not find vaccination to be the cause of death.

 

On this, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the truth is that vaccination is completely safe and effective. Cases of side effects are common. This happens in any vaccination.

He said, 'Vaccination will prove to be the final nail in the corona's coffin. Unfortunately, some people are spreading wrong things about vaccination to take political advantage. Because of this, some people are reluctant to get vaccinated. The government does not want anyone to have any negative impact after vaccination. It is our responsibility to keep everyone safe.

 

Vaccination in 20 states on 20 January

So far, the first dose of the Corona vaccine has been given to 7.86 lakh healthcare workers in the country. One lakh 12 thousand 7 people were vaccinated in 20 states and union territories on Wednesday (till 6 pm) on the 5th day of vaccination. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 2,353 sessions of vaccination were conducted on the previous day.

 

According to the Health Ministry, a total of 82 cases of side effects occurred on the 5th day (January 20) of vaccination. 4 in Delhi, 2 in Karnataka, 1-1 case of Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and West Bengal had to be admitted to the hospital. One is being monitored in Delhi and the remaining 3 have been discharged. Two in one have also been discharged in Karnataka. The person of Bengal is being monitored. All the rest have been discharged.

 

No one died due to vaccination

On the news of death after vaccination, the Health Ministry said that reports of deaths of 1-1 in Uttar Pradesh-Telangana and 2 in Karnataka have been reported. The postmortem report of those who died in UP-Karnataka is clear that the cause of death is not vaccination, but another problem. At the same time, a postmortem report is awaited in Telangana. The Health Ministry said that so far no cases of serious side effects have been reported in the country.

 

Most people got vaccinated on the first day

 

First day - 2,07,229

Third day - 1,48,266

Fourth day - 1,77,368

Fifth day - 1,12,007

Vaccination in Andhra 6 days a week

The Health Ministry said that the maximum vaccination would be 6 days a week in Andhra and 5 days in Mizoram. At the same time, there will be vaccination in Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh two days a week.

 

4 days vaccination in these states

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal will undergo vaccination 4 days a week.

 

3 days vaccination in these states

In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland and Odisha are kept for vaccination drive only three days a week.
