The states where there has been a decline in new cases of Covid-19 are Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. During the last two weeks, Covid cases have come down in 18 out of 38 districts of Bihar. Cases have been reduced in 33 of 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Cases have been reported in 24 out of 36 districts of Maharashtra.
The Health Ministry said that there are only 8 states in the country where more than 10,000 cases are being reported daily. 75% of new cases are coming from only 10 states. Since February 2021, the number of tests has been increasing continuously. Covid testing has increased 2.5 times on average in the last 14 weeks.
