A very scary case has come to light from Mumbai. It has been claimed in the media report that after recovering from Corona in Mumbai, three children who were victims of black fungus had to have their eyes removed. These three children were admitted to two different private hospitals in Mumbai. The ages of all three are 4, 6, and 14 years. The most surprising thing is that there are no symptoms of diabetes in 4 and 6-year-olds.

It was being claimed about the black fungus that diabetic patients are at the highest risk. Apart from this, there is also a 16-year-old girl, who has become a victim of black fungus after recovering from the corona. This fungus is found in his stomach.

14-year-old girl in hospital in critical condition

According to Dr. Jessal Seth of a private hospital in Mumbai, this year she had 2 cases of black fungus, both children were minors. The condition of the 14-year-old girl who was a victim of diabetes was not well. Within 48 hours of hospitalization, the girl started showing symptoms of black fungus.

The eye had to be removed after 6 weeks of treatment

Dr. Jessal Seth, Senior Pediatrician at Fortis Hospital said, “This year they had 2 cases of black fungus, both children were minors. The condition of the 14-year-old girl who was a victim of diabetes was not well. His eyes turned black within 48 hours of his hospitalization. The fungus had reached the nose. We treated him for six weeks, but unfortunately, we had to remove his eye to save his life.

According to Dr. Jessal Seth, 'In another case, a 16-year-old girl did not already have symptoms of diabetes, but after recovering from corona, she had some problems. The black fungus had reached his stomach. However, it was later recovered. At the same time, children of 4 and 6 years were treated in another private hospital. According to the hospital, if the children's eyes were not removed, it would have been very difficult to save their lives.
