The Central Government has given funds for this project under the Jal Jeevan Mission. It is estimated to cost Rs 3,054.58 crore. Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla, Chief Minister N Biren Singh, MPs and MLAs also participated in the program.

In the future, the connectivity here will not be limited to the Siliguri corridor. Work is being done on seamless connectivity. The North East has the potential to become the growth engine of the country's growth. Peace is being established here. The mantra of Peace, Progress, and Prosperity is echoing.
