Women's Reservation Bill: 'The dream that was awaited for the last several decades has now come true, PM Modi said to women workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached BJP headquarters on Friday after the historic Women's Reservation Bill was passed by Parliament. Here he greeted the women workers of the party. He also touched the feet of women workers. After this, Mahila Morcha workers congratulated PM Modi. All the women MPs of the BJP, all the women councilors of Delhi, and other women public representatives were present in this program.

 

During this, PM Modi also addressed the workers. He said that today I congratulate every mother, sister, and daughter of the country. Yesterday and the day before yesterday we all saw a new history being made. We all are fortunate that millions of people have allowed us to create this history.

 

 

He said that this decision and this day will be discussed for many generations to come. I congratulate the entire country for passing the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Act' with an overwhelming majority in both the Houses of Parliament. Sometimes a decision has the potential to change the destiny of a country. Today we all have become witnesses of one such decision. 'Nari Shakti Vandan Act' has been passed by both houses of the Parliament with record votes. The dream that the country has been waiting for for the last several decades has now come true.

 

'When there is a government with an absolute majority, such unanimous decisions are taken'

PM Modi said that when there is a government with an absolute majority, such unanimous decisions are taken. Giving credit to the women voters, he said that our mothers and sisters gave full support to the BJP. Participated enthusiastically in voting and gave BJP a chance to come to power strongly.

 

This is a matter of pride for us

He said that today the confidence of every woman is skyrocketing. Mothers, sisters, and daughters of the entire country are celebrating today and are blessing us all. Our BJP government has had the privilege of fulfilling the dreams of millions of mothers and sisters. Therefore, as a party that considers the nation first, as a BJP worker, and as a responsible citizen, this is a matter of pride for us.

 

Declaration of India's new democratic commitment

He said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is not a general law. This is a proclamation of the new democratic commitment of the new India. This is a step towards building a developed India through everyone's efforts in the Amrit Kaal.

 

We committed, we fulfilled it

PM Modi said, 'BJP was trying for three decades for this law for women's participation in democracy. This was our commitment. We have demonstrated this by completing it.

 

India is removing every obstacle

He said that to make India develop, today India is giving an open sky to women's power. Today the country is removing every obstacle faced by mothers, sisters, and daughters.

 

Tried to break every restriction in the last 9 years

He said that in the last 9 years, we have tried to break every restriction related to mothers and sisters. Our government has made such schemes one after the other and started such programs so that our sisters get a life of respect, convenience, security, and prosperity.

 

'When there is a stable government with an absolute majority, the country crosses major milestones'

PM Modi said that the passing of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act by both the Houses is also a testimony to the fact that when there is a stable government with a full majority, how the country takes big decisions and crosses big milestones.

We have all been waiting for this moment for a long time. With foresight, unwavering determination, and strong intentions, the Prime Minister has got the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Bill' passed on time. We congratulate him for this.

 

He said that not just one but many steps have been taken for the empowerment of women. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi has also resolved the long pending problems in the country in a democratic manner. Prime Minister Modi launched many programs for the empowerment of women. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 12 crore sisters were given Izzat Ghar (toilets). For this UNICEF also called you a game changer.

 

Rajya Sabha approved last night

Earlier, the 128th Constitutional Amendment Bill providing for 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies was passed in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. It was passed after a day-long discussion. 214 votes were cast in favor of the bill, while no one voted against the bill.

 

Lok Sabha had passed on Wednesday

With this, the drought of the last 27 years in the path of women empowerment in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies ended and the new Parliament building created a new history of praising women's power in its very first session. Earlier, the bill had got approval from the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Lok Sabha also passed this bill with a two-thirds majority. 454 votes were cast in its favor and two against it.

 

PM Modi had said this

After the passing of the bill, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is a decisive moment in the democratic journey of our country. Congratulations to 140 crore Indians. I thank all those Rajya Sabha MPs who voted for the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. Such unanimous support is truly heartening. With the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in Parliament, we begin an era of stronger representation and empowerment for the women of India.

 

He said that this is not just legislation, it is a tribute to the countless women who have built our country. India has been enriched by their resilience and contributions. As we celebrate today, we are reminded of the strength, courage, and indomitable spirit of all the women of our country. This historic step is a commitment to ensure that their voices are heard even more effectively.
