Then Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar asked both of them to keep quiet. He also said that 'Chandrashekharji's work in the country and his respect is incomparable.' He appealed to Kharge to take back the statement given about Chandrashekhar. On this, both Kharge and Neeraj Shekhar said that whenever they meet, they behave very pleasantly and cordially.

Kharge later clarified that 'he and late former PM Chandrashekhar were arrested together. He told Shekhar that 'I said this because your father was my friend and you got up as if...'

Kharge cornered BJP over Manmohan Singh.
On this, Kharge said that it has never been his nature to insult anyone. After this, he accused the BJP of insulting former PM late Manmohan Singh. He said that the BJP has said a lot about his silence. Someone said that he cannot run the government.
