An allegation has been filed against the makers of South actress Nayanthara's film 'Annapurnani' for hurting religious sentiments. Mumbai Police had also registered an FIR against the producers of the film in this matter. Now this controversy is increasing. A massive protest was held in Mumbai on Thursday morning outside the Netflix office over the controversial dialogues against Lord Ram in 'Annapurna'. Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad raised slogans outside the office and demanded the removal of the film from the platform.

Several videos have surfaced on the internet, in which activists can be seen waving their party flags and demanding a boycott of Nayanthara's 'Annapurna'. However, the activists were later detained by Mumbai Police and were forced to leave the site. This controversy started when many political leaders accused the makers of insulting Lord Ram. A character in the film encourages the actress to eat meat and says that Lord Shri Ram was also a meat eater.

The producers said this

Zee Studios is one of the producers of 'Annapurnani'. Now after the huge outcry, Zee Studios released a statement, promising that the scene will be edited and the film will be removed from Netflix unless necessary changes are made. The statement said, 'As co-producers of the film, we have no intention of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus and Brahmin community and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience and hurt caused to the sentiments of the respective communities.'

 

Many allegations against manufacturers

The controversy first came to light when Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Solanki filed a police complaint against the makers of 'Annapurnani' for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
