Former Indian team batsman Manoj Tiwari said that Mumbai Indians should hand over the captaincy back to Rohit Sharma. The performance of the five-time IPL champions so far in the current season has been disappointing. Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians have suffered defeat in three consecutive matches.

Let us tell you that Hardik Pandya was traded by Mumbai Indians to Gujarat Titans in the 17th season of IPL and then he was replaced as captain in place of Rohit Sharma. However, the return of Hardik Pandya, who made the Gujarat Titans IPL champion in the very first year, to Mumbai was not pleasant.

Mumbai Indians have not been able to win a single match so far under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. After Mumbai's defeat at the hands of Rajasthan, Manoj Tiwari while talking to Cricbuzz said that Rohit Sharma should be given the captaincy again. Rajasthan Royals restricted Mumbai Indians to 125/9 at the Wankhede Stadium and then achieved the target with the loss of four wickets with 27 balls remaining.

What did Manoj Tiwari say

Earlier, Mumbai had to face defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Hardik Pandya upset with the audience

Hardik Pandya has been the target of fans ever since he became the captain of Mumbai Indians. Whichever ground he is going to, he is becoming a victim of booing by the spectators. The limit was reached when Pandya was booed heavily at Wankhede Stadium, which is the home ground of Mumbai Indians.

Broadcaster Sanjay Manjrekar and former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma pacified the audience and expressed support for Hardik Pandya. Mumbai has to play its next match against Delhi on 7 April. The five-time IPL champion will try to register his first win.
