Supriya, who lives in Meerut, liked an online sari. Though it was a new website for him, but due to being in the sale, he bought the saree. But when the saree was delivered, it was not as it was seen online. Later, when I called Customer Care, he did not think, and on email, he received a reply from the company that there was no defect in the product and delivered the product which was shown on the website. Supriya later regretted why she lost her money by shopping from a non-authoritative website. If you also want to avoid buying fake products in online shopping, then keep in mind the 10 things written below.

Shop from the right website

Many times fraud website shows the original product but delivered a fake product. In such a situation, it is most important that you shop from popular websites like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, or other big websites. All these websites are multi-brand where you will get all the goods. If you want, you can also shop for a product from your website.

Must check the return policy

The return policy of a website that sells fraudulent products is not correct and they refuse to return after delivery. Whereas the real website has a return policy, under which you can return if you do not like the product or find it fake.

See online review and feedback

If you are shopping for the first time from a website, then check its review online. Online reviews of websites selling most fraud products are very bad and people have given feedback about their fake product. Also, while shopping online, one should always check that the physical address, email, phone number, and contact details of the product from which you are buying should be

Do not fall for fake website

Most of the online fraud is from fake websites. If you get heavy discounts and deals on any website through WhatsApp or any other link, then understand that it is fraud. There is a link with these messages, through which you have to shop. But this link can be a virus or can take you to a fake website.

Crosscheck Before Buying Product

Once you see the model of the product you buy from an e-commerce site, on the official site. For example, if you are buying cloth from a brand, then check the product on the website of that brand. If you are buying mobile online, then look at the IMEI number written on the box and match this number with the official website of the brand of the phone or you can direct IMEI numbers can also be found by calling customer care

Take help of smart consumer app

Food regulators can take the help of FSSAI's Smart Consumer App to identify fake food products. QR code will have to be scanned and registered QR numbers from this app. After this, the manufacturing details of the product will be obtained. In this way, the product can be identified as real and fake. You can download this app from Google Play Store. Electronic and FMCG companies make QR codes and holograms to protect against counterfeit products through which genuine fake can be identified.

See brand spelling and logo

Counterfeit goods can be identified with the company's logo and spelling. The company that sells counterfeit goods makes the beans but they are not original. Sometimes there is a slight difference in the spelling of the name. Therefore, the logo and spelling of the online product should also be checked properly.

High discounted product can be fake

Do not get lured by high discounts while shopping online. Many times, MRP gets a maximum discount of 70-80% in the cell, but if a product is getting more discount than this, then understand that the item is fake.

Get help from consumer court

If you have a fake product and the company is not returning it, then you can go to the Consumer Court. There is a consumer court to protect fraud with customers. In such a case, you can file a case in the consumer court if you cheat online.
