
A cabinet meeting will be held on Wednesday at Sangam Ghat in Prayagraj under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this, 10 major proposals related to public welfare and the development of the state will be approved. This includes proposals for Industrial Development, Urban Development, Housing, Vocational Education, Medical Education, and the Home Department. Most of the proposals are from the Industrial Development Department. In addition to the Defense and Aerospace Policy, approval for payment of subsidy amount payable to Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) for the land allotted to Ashok Leyland under the Front End Land Subsidy provision allowed in the Promotion Policy 2023 for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Investment of Fortune 500 Companies will also be approved.
In the meeting being held at Triveni Complex in Arail, decisions will be taken regarding a subsidy of Rs 106 crore to Ashok Leyland under FDI policy, subsidy, and NOC to four other companies, and bids for smartphones and tablets to be distributed under Swami Vivekananda Yojana. Under the UP Aerospace and Defense Unit and Employment Promotion Policy-2024, the state government will give subsidies for setting up defense units in the Defense Corridor and other industrial corridors in the state.
In the meeting, the proposal related to the transfer of the 166-bedded Government Combined Hospital, Balrampur to the Medical Education Department free of cost for the establishment of Autonomous State Medical College, Balrampur, and converting the satellite center of King George Medical University being set up in Balrampur into an Autonomous State Medical College can also be approved. Apart from this, the selection of the successful bidder for running medical colleges on PPP mode in Hathras, Baghpat, and Kasganj will also be approved.
Apart from this, the cabinet will also approve the proposals related to the acquisition of 442.4412 hectares of land in Rahnkalan and Raipur for the proposed new residential project of the Agra Development Authority and the establishment of UP Prosecution Directorate. Apart from this, according to the proposal of vocational education, the proposals to be given to Tata to equip 62 government ITIs of the state with innovation and new technology will also be approved.
Prayagraj, Varanasi and Agra will issue municipal bonds
The proposal to issue municipal bonds by Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra Municipal Corporations will also be approved in the cabinet. Earlier, bonds have been issued by Lucknow and Ghaziabad Municipal Corporations. On the same lines, the government has now decided to issue municipal bonds for these three municipal corporations.
CM will take a dip in Sangam today with ministers.
After the cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister will also take a dip in Sangam with all 54 ministers of his cabinet. For this, all the ministers reached Prayagraj on Tuesday evening itself. On this occasion, senior officials of the government will also take a bath in Sangam. Let us tell you that earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also taken a dip in Sangam with his entire cabinet in the Kumbh Mela of the year 2019. Then along with the Chief Minister, Akhada Parishad President Narendra Giri and other saints also took a bath in Sangam.
Will go to Sangam by motorboat
After the meeting, all the ministers will go to Sangam by motor boat from Arail VIP Ghat. Here all the ministers including CM Yogi will duly worship. After this, they will take a dip of faith in Triveni through the jetty built on the Sangam bank. CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Suresh Kumar Khanna, Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantradev Singh, Baby Rani Maurya, Jaiveer Singh, Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary, Dharmpal, Nandgopal Nandi and Anil Rajbhar, all 21 cabinet ministers, including ministers of independent charge and ministers of state, a total of 54 ministers will duly take a bath in Sangam after attending the cabinet meeting.
