Amidst all this, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has once again given good news about the vaccine. He has told that the government plans to vaccinate 300 million people within the next six months. It is known that many companies, including India, are making Corona vaccines and many have also completed their trials.
What did the Union Health Minister say about the vaccine?
When Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan was asked questions about the vaccine on Monday, he said that within the next 3-4 months, there is every possibility that we will have the vaccine available and will start planting people. He further added, "By July-August, we plan to deliver the vaccine to 25-30 crore people, and accordingly we are also working." Of. However, he said this about the ongoing peasant movement against agricultural laws. Harshvardhan said, "I request everyone to follow the rules regarding corona virus-like wearing masks and social distancing."
Preparation on a war footing to provide vaccine
The Modi government is preparing on a war footing to provide the Corona vaccine as soon as possible across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the three major institutions involved in preparing the vaccine in the country on Saturday and inquired about their progress there. Besides, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health have started preliminary preparations for the vaccine along with all the states and union territories of the country. Preparations are being made for storage and transport according to all types of conditions. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with companies working on the vaccine through video conferencing and discuss vaccine development.
SII chief Poonawala has also given positive signals
This is not the first time that there has been a positive indication of the coronavirus vaccine from the government or vaccine companies. Earlier too, there have been many indications that the vaccine is going to be available in the country soon. The Serum Institute of India, which produces the vaccine along with Oxford University, has also claimed that the government can procure 30-40 crore doses by July. SII CEO Adar Poonawala had said that till now, we have nothing in writing on behalf of the Government of India as to how many doses they will buy but there are indications that by July 2021, the government may be able to buy 30-40 crore doses.
