On Monday, Delhi Finance Minister Atishi, while presenting the Budget 2024-25 in the Assembly, announced 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana'.
Under this scheme, every woman above 18 years of age will be given one thousand rupees every month. Finance Minister Atishi presented a budget of Rs 76,000 crore on Monday (4 March 2024). A provision of Rs 16000 crore has been made for education.
Delhi government will start Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana from next year. Under this scheme, women above 18 years of age will get ₹ 1000 every month. A provision of Rs 80 crore has been made for the elderly people's pilgrimage.
Delhi's GSDP in 2014-15 was Rs 4.95 lakh crore. In the last ten years, Delhi's GSDP has increased almost two and a half times to Rs 11.08 lakh crore. Delhi's per capita income in 2014-15 was Rs 2.47 lakh. It has increased to 4.62 lakh in 2023-24, which is two and a half times more than the national average.
Minister Atishi also talked about 'Ram Rajya' in the budget speech. He said that all of us are inspired by the life of Lord Ram. We have been trying day and night for the last 9 years to fulfill this dream of Ram Rajya. We have tried to provide happiness and prosperity to the people of Delhi in the last 9 years.
A lot remains to be done to establish 'Ram Rajya' in Delhi but a lot has been done in the last 9 years. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has had to face many difficulties like Lord Ram. No stone was left unturned to stop his actions, despite this, he is continuously engaged in fulfilling the promises made to the people of Delhi.
Kejriwal government has done miraculous work in the last nine years. Next year also work will be done to establish Ram Rajya. The current year's budget was revised to Rs 74900 crore. Accused the Central Government of not giving its share to Delhi.
