Delhi New CM: Will Delhi get a woman chief minister? These four names are in the race; Know how much truth is there in this claim.

After Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit, and Atishi, Delhi can once again get a woman chief minister. BJP, which came to power after 27 years with the promise of respect and security for women, is serious about handing over the leadership of the government to a woman MLA. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised women during an election rally that if BJP forms the government, Rs 2500 will be deposited in their accounts before International Women's Day.

The final decision will be taken after PM Modi's arrival.

According to sources, BJP can get this promise of the PM fulfilled by a woman CM. Meanwhile, the MLAs in the race for the CM post are busy in their own efforts. It is believed that the final decision in this regard will be taken after the Prime Minister returns from America. One of the reasons behind making a woman MLA the Chief Minister in Delhi is that at present there is no woman Chief Minister in any state ruled by BJP.

Names of these four women in the race

At the same time, the party wants to give the message of women empowerment before International Women's Day by making a woman the Chief Minister in the country's capital. In this election, four women MLAs of BJP have been elected. Among them, Rekha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh seat, Shikha Rai from Greater Kailash, Poonam Sharma from Wazirpur and Neelam Pehelwan from Najafgarh have been elected as MLAs.

Rekha Gupta was elected Municipal Councilor in 2022

Rekha Gupta has been the General Secretary of Delhi State BJP. Currently, she is the National Vice President of Mahila Morcha. She was elected Municipal Councilor in the year 2022. At the same time, Shikha Rai has defeated AAP's senior leader and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash. She is a two-time councilor. In such a situation, the claim of Rekha and Shikha is considered strong. If this happens, then after the removal of a woman Chief Minister, another woman Chief Minister will take over in her place.

Let us tell you, after the resignation of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party made Atishi the Chief Minister. Earlier, Sheila Dixit was the Chief Minister of Delhi for 10 years during the rule of Congress. Before Sheila, Sushma Swaraj was also the Chief Minister of Delhi for a few months during the tenure of BJP.

What was the conclusion of the meeting

On the other hand, there was political silence on the surface in Delhi on Monday, which was pierced by speculations. BJP leaders say that many senior leaders, including party national president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah, had a meeting on Sunday. It is expected that there would be a discussion about the CM face. However, what was the conclusion of the meeting, whose name was approved, it is still a mystery.

Pravesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal in the election, is also a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister. He met Amit Shah shortly after the election results came. On Sunday, he and newly elected MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa met BJP national president JP Nadda. Late Sunday evening, National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh held a meeting with the newly elected MLAs.

On the other hand, instead of meeting the MLAs on Monday, senior leaders spoke to them through telephone. Opinion is also being taken from the officials of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in this regard. At the same time, Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva has sought time to meet the Lieutenant Governor along with all the MPs and newly elected MLAs. He wrote a letter to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Sunday, but the meeting did not take place even on Monday. It is said that a meeting may take place in the next one or two days.
