Ravichandran Ashwin returned to the ODI team after 20 months. Ashwin's performance in the three-match ODI series being played against Australia has also been strong. In the second ODI, Ashwin staked his claim for the World Cup 2023 by taking three big wickets. However, despite all this, Ashwin will fail to make a place in India's World Cup team. This is not what we believe, but former Kangaroo captain Aaron Finch.
Ashwin will not get a place on the World Cup team
Aaron Finch, while talking on Star Sports show, said, "I think Ashwin will struggle to make it to the final 15. However, the players of the Indian team, who have played so much cricket in the Australia series, have a lot to say about the big matches from Ashwin. Can learn. Be it T-20 or Test, Ashwin is such a player who has performed well in big matches in his career. However, I will not be surprised if Ashwin stays with the team like a mentor, but It doesn't seem that he will be able to make his place in the 15 players."
Ashwin is in excellent form
Ravichandran Ashwin is in excellent form at the moment. Ashwin has been very economical in the ODI series being played against Australia. Along with this, the Indian off-spinner has also taken the wickets of big batsmen. In the second ODI, Ashwin showed the way to the pavilion to David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, and Josh Inglis. Similarly, in the first ODI, Ashwin had hunted Labuschagne.
Most wickets against Australia
With taking 3 wickets in the second ODI, Ravichandran Ashwin has also become the bowler taking the most wickets against a single team for India. Ashwin now has 144 wickets in his name against the Kangaroo team in ODI cricket. He has left Anil Kumble behind in this matter. Kumble took 142 wickets in ODI cricket against Australia.
