Amritsar Blast: Explosion again in Amritsar, blast on Heritage Street near Golden Temple; heavy police force on the spot

The explosion occurred again on Monday at 6:30 am in the area of Heritage Street near Sri Harimandir Sahib, at the same place where it happened late on Saturday. There was not much traffic on the road at the time of the incident. Many senior police officers have reached the spot, the investigation is going on.

 

Members of the forensic team have captured several samples. Where the blast took place, there was also a car standing there, whose glasses were broken. The police are engaged in getting the footage of the CCTV cameras installed nearby. At present, the police are denying the incident of being explosive. DCP Parminder Singh Bhandal also reached the spot on Heritage Street to investigate.

 

Although the police officers had closed this place for movement earlier also. Police officers have reached the spot, the investigation is on. The officials of the forensic team who reached the spot have taken the samples. The blast took place at a distance of 200 meters from the late-night incident on Saturday.

There was also a blast on Heritage Street near the Golden Temple late on Saturday night. There was a report of minor injuries to one person and the windows of some buildings were damaged. However, the police said that it was not a terrorist attack but an accident.

 

Panic gripped the busy Heritage Street near Darbar Sahib after the explosion on Saturday night. Many devotees and local people present on the spot had considered the blast as a terrorist incident.
