A Pakistani cleric has made a highly controversial comment about Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. This could spark a significant controversy. A video of the cleric is going viral in which he says that if Aishwarya Rai Bachchan separates from Abhishek Bachchan, the actress will send him a marriage proposal.
Will send a proposal to the actress
Pakistani cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi, while referring to Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan's relationship in a podcast, said, "I have heard that a separation is developing between the husband and wife. If they do separate, Allah forbid, I will be the one to make the family prosperous. If it does happen, then, God willing, a marriage message will come from her side for Mufti Sahib as well."
When the host asked him how he could marry a non-Muslim, the cleric cited the example of Rakhi Sawant converting to Islam and becoming Fatima. Later, when the host asked him if he would convert and marry Aishwarya, Kavi replied, "Absolutely! It would be fun to write about Aishwarya Rai as such a beautiful Ayesha Rai."
Fans expressed displeasure
This isn't the first time Kavi has made such a controversial statement. In an interview earlier this year, he expressed his desire to marry Rakhi Sawant. People believe that clerics use such actions as a publicity stunt.
Rumors Denied
For the past few years, there have been reports of a rift between Abhishek and Aishwarya. Some reports even suggested that the two were about to divorce. However, the two have been seen together several times, proving these reports false.
