A video of a man brutally beating a couple in the middle of the road in West Bengal has gone viral. The BJP is targeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party over the video (West Bengal woman video).
In this video from North Dinajpur, a man identified as Tajmul alias 'JCB' is seen beating a young man and woman with bamboo sticks in the panchayat, calling their love 'illegal'.
The BJP alleges that Tajmul is a local TMC leader of Chopra in Dinajpur district. News agency PTI reported that the incident took place after the decision of the kangaroo court. However, Dainik Jagran does not confirm the video.
The accused was arrested, and TMC MLA's statement came.
The West Bengal Police has arrested Tajmul in the case, while Chopra MLA Hamidul Rahman has also stated this. The MLA said that the woman's activities were anti-social. However, Hamidul said that Tajmul has nothing to do with TMC.
There are rules in a Muslim nation...
Hamidul Rahman further said that this is a village matter and it has nothing to do with the party. The Trinamool MLA further said that we condemn this incident, but the woman also did wrong. She left her husband, son, and daughter which is wrong. The MLA said that according to the Muslim nation, there are some rules and justice.
BJP said- did TMC consider Bengal a Muslim state
BJP has attacked TMC over the incident. In a post on X handle, BJP said,
"Mamata's MLAs are talking about the Muslim nation. Has TMC declared West Bengal a Muslim nation in which Sharia rule will be implemented?"
Nadda said- Didi's Bengal is not safe for women.
BJP President JP Nadda has also targeted TMC and Mamata Banerjee in this matter. In a post on X, Nadda said that this is a reminder of cruelty.
On the other hand, TMC and its MLAs are justifying this act. Be it Sandeshkhali, North Dinajpur, or many other places, Mamata Didi's West Bengal is unsafe for women.
