Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Afghanistan had scored 158 runs after losing five wickets in 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi played an inning of 42 runs in 27 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. Whereas, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 29 runs. For India, Akshar Patel and Mukesh Kumar took two wickets each. India achieved the target by losing four wickets in 17.3 overs. Rohit could not open the account. Whereas Shubhman Gill scored 23 runs, Tilak Verma scored 26 runs and Jitesh Sharma scored 31 runs.
