Speaking to the YouTube channel Not Out Noman, Tamim said a final decision had not been taken to cancel the series and that discussions over a revised schedule were continuing.

Tamim said both cricket boards are in constant communication and are considering tentative dates that could accommodate the six-match series.

He indicated that the discussions remain positive and that the busy international calendars of both teams are being taken into account.
