After the match, Jadeja dedicated his ‘Man of the Match’ award to his wife, Rivaba Jadeja, who serves as the Education Minister of Gujarat. He remarked, “It feels good to win the Man of the Match award. I would like to dedicate this award to the Education Minister of Gujarat (my wife). She was the one who predicted that I would perform well, and that is exactly what I did.”

Showcasing Patience on a Tricky Pitch

Describing the pitch as challenging, Jadeja stated, “This wicket was not easy for batting, as the ball was seaming and swinging. I focused on trying to stay at the crease for as long as possible. In T20 cricket, you never know—you can always score runs in the final over—and that is exactly what we managed to do.”

Bowlers Also Played a Pivotal Role

While defending a target of 159 runs, the Rajasthan bowlers delivered a stellar performance. Contributing with the ball himself, Jadeja claimed the crucial wicket of Nicholas Pooran (22), breaking a dangerous 43-run partnership he had built with Mitchell Marsh. The team’s other bowlers also combined effectively to restrict Lucknow to a total of 119 runs. With this victory, the Rajasthan Royals have climbed to the second position on the points table.

A Partnership That Turned the Tide

A pivotal partnership between Jadeja and Shubham Dubey proved to be the turning point of the match. Together, the duo rescued the team from a precarious situation and provided the bowlers with a competitive total to defend.
