Lumino Industries IPO Listing Price

Lumino Industries had fixed its IPO price at ₹82 per share after keeping the price band between ₹78 and ₹82.

On Thursday, the stock made its debut at:

NSE: ₹110 per share

BSE: ₹109 per share

IPO issue price: ₹82 per share

NSE listing premium: 34.15%

BSE listing premium: 32.93%

The company therefore delivered a listing gain of ₹28 per share for investors at the NSE opening price.

How Much Profit Did Lumino Industries IPO Investors Make?

The minimum retail application consisted of 182 shares, requiring an investment of ₹14,924 at the IPO price of ₹82.

At the NSE listing price of ₹110, those 182 shares were worth ₹20,020.

This means an investor who received one retail lot could have seen a notional listing gain of:

₹20,020 − ₹14,924 = ₹5,096

That represents a gain of approximately 34.15%, before brokerage, taxes and other applicable charges.

Lumino Industries IPO Listing Below Grey Market Expectations

Although the listing was strong, the debut was below the expectations created by the grey market.

Ahead of listing, the Lumino Industries IPO GMP was reported at ₹39.5. Adding this premium to the upper IPO price of ₹82 indicated an estimated listing price of ₹121.50.

The actual NSE opening price of ₹110 was therefore ₹11.50 below the GMP-based estimate. The NSE listing premium of 34.15% was also lower than the approximately 48.17% gain suggested by the ₹39.5 GMP.

However, GMP is an unofficial indicator and does not guarantee the actual listing price or future stock performance.

₹700 Crore Lumino Industries IPO

Lumino Industries raised approximately ₹700 crore through its IPO. The issue comprised a ₹500 crore fresh issue and a ₹200 crore offer for sale (OFS) by existing shareholders.

The IPO was open for subscription from August 27 to August 31, while the basis of allotment was finalized on September 1. The shares were listed on both the NSE and BSE on September 3.

Strong Investor Demand for Lumino Industries IPO

The IPO attracted substantial demand during the subscription period. According to NSE-linked data reported by Upstox, the issue received bids for more than 746 crore shares against around 6.32 crore shares offered, resulting in subscription of approximately 118.12 times.

The strong subscription was one of the factors that had contributed to the positive expectations surrounding the stock before its market debut.

What Does Lumino Industries Do?

Lumino Industries, incorporated in 2005, operates as an integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with a focus on the power transmission and distribution sector.

Lumino Industries IPO: What Investors Should Know

Lumino Industries delivered a strong listing-day debut, but investors should distinguish between listing gains and long-term returns. The stock opened significantly above its ₹82 issue price, rewarding successful allottees with a sizeable notional gain.

At the same time, the ₹110 NSE debut was below the ₹121.50 price implied by the pre-listing GMP. This highlights why grey-market premiums should be treated only as an unofficial sentiment indicator rather than a guaranteed listing-price forecast.

For investors holding the stock beyond listing day, factors such as earnings growth, order-book strength, debt levels, margins, execution and valuations will be more important than the initial listing gain.
