Monkeypox cases in India. The second case of monkeypox has been reported in the country. A 38-year-old man who returned to Kerala from Dubai has been found infected. The man is undergoing treatment in Malappuram district. The Health Department said that the person's monkeypox infection has been confirmed.
Earlier on September 9, the first monkeypox patient was confirmed in the country. The Union Health Ministry had said that a person who returned from abroad was kept in isolation on September 8 on suspicion of monkeypox.

The Union Health Ministry has advised the states to curb the monkeypox case. The central government has said states should take health action to prevent monkeypox cases. At the same time, all states should review the preparations of their health facilities.

Most patients recover in two to four weeks.
