The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has increased the security of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The MHA has given him Z+ category security. Mukesh Ambani will pay the cost of security. This expenditure will be 40 to 45 lakh rupees per month. Earlier, he had got Z category security. According to media reports, the Ministry of Home Affairs has taken this decision on the recommendation of IB. IB had expressed apprehension of danger to Mukesh Ambani.

Mukesh Ambani's security has been increased at a time when a suspicious car was found outside his home in Antilia last year, with which 20 gelatin sticks were found. Apart from this, he has also been receiving threatening calls. According to reports, the central government was contemplating increasing Ambani's security for several days.

58 commandos will protect Ambani

About 58 commandos of CRPF will be deployed for 24 hours in the security of Mukesh Ambani and his family. These commandos are equipped with many modern weapons including the Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun made in Germany. 800 rounds of bullets can be fired in a minute with this gun. Let us tell you that Z + security is the highest level of security of VVIP in India, under it, there are 6 central security levels. There are already 6 drivers round the clock in Ambani's security.

Mukesh Ambani's security guards will also be there.

Apart from CRPF, Mukesh Ambani also has about 15-20 personal security guards, who are without weapons i.e. unarmed. His guards have been trained by an Israel-based security firm. These private security guards deployed to protect Ambani and his family are also a trend in Krav Maga (Israeli Martial Art). These guards work in two shifts, including retired Indian Army personnel and NSG personnel.

Z+ for Mukesh Ambani and Y+ for Nita Ambani

Mukesh Ambani was provided Z+ security by the then Manmohan Singh government in 2013 after he received threats from Hizbul Mujahideen. His wife Nita Ambani was provided Y + security by the central government in 2016. Their children are also given graded security by the Maharashtra government. However, the Z+ security was later snatched from Mukesh Ambani.

On June 29, a petition was filed against the removal of Ambani's security.

On June 29, a petition was filed in the Tripura High Court by a person named Vikas Saha against Z Security of businessman Mukesh Ambani. On this, the High Court, while summoning the reply from the Center, had sought the details of the assessment of the threat, based on which security has been given to Ambani and his family. Angered by this, the central government approached the Supreme Court.

On behalf of the central government in the court, it was said that given to a family

Security is not an issue of public interest and Ambani's security has nothing to do with Tripura. After which the Supreme Court on 22 July stayed the order issued by the Tripura High Court to the Central Government.

In 2020, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition related to Ambani's security

This was not the first time that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding Mukesh Ambani's Z security. Earlier in November 2020, the Supreme Court had dismissed a petition seeking withdrawal of Z security granted to Mukesh Ambani and his family.

An explosive-laden car was found near Antilia in February 2021.

In February 2021, an explosive-laden SUV was recovered from outside Antilia, in which 20 gelatin sticks and a letter were found. Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani were threatened in the letter. In this case, the name of Mumbai Police's encounter specialist Sachin Vajhe came. Right now NIA is probing this case.

Mukesh Ambani is the first businessman in the country to get a Z+ category security

Mukesh Ambani and his family were given Z category security in 2013. It has now been changed to Z+. This security has been given to Ambani after the intelligence agencies expressed their apprehension of the threat of a terrorist attack on him. The UPA government had decided to give Z security in 2013 after Ambani received threats from the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen.
