According to the information, 390 people were vaccinated against Kovishield on May 30 in the premises of the Hiranandani Housing Society in the Kandivali area of Mumbai. During that time a person named Rajesh Pandey, posing as a representative of Kokilaben Ambani Hospital had contacted the members of the society committee. This vaccination campaign was conducted by Sanjay Gupta, while a person named Mahendra Singh had taken money from the members of the society. It is alleged that all the people of the society were given fake vaccines and about five lakh rupees were cheated.

ACP Dilip Sawant, Northern Zone of Mumbai said that four people have been arrested in this case. Among them, one person used to run a fake racket, while the other accused used to organize vaccination camps in big societies. Apart from this, the other two accused used to steal the identity cards of the people. Also, another person was caught from Madhya Pradesh, who used to bring the vaccine.
