The Prime Minister held a high-level meeting on Saturday on the Himachal Flood due to heavy rains, floods, and landslides and reviewed the situation and the operations being carried out for relief and rescue operations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP National President JP Nadda were also present in the meeting which lasted for about an hour at PM Modi's official residence 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
Nadda will visit their home state Himachal
On the other hand, BJP National President JP Nadda is going to his home state Himachal Pradesh tomorrow to take stock of the damage caused by heavy rains, floods, and landslides.
Nadda will also meet the families of those killed in the natural tragedy during this visit. He will visit the site of an ancient Shiva temple destroyed due to heavy rains at Summerhill, Shimla. He will also hold a meeting with the local administration in Shimla and Bilaspur and discuss relief, rescue, and rehabilitation works.
Nadda will reach Paonta Sahib (Sirmour) at 9 am on Sunday. After this, he will reach village Sirmauri Tal and Kachchi Dhang by road at 9:35 am, where he will take stock of the situation arising out of the cloudburst in the Sirmauri Tal area and will also meet the family members of 5 members who died in this accident.
After this, the BJP president will reach Shimla's Shivbawdi, Summerhill, at 11:20 am, where he will take stock of the ancient Shiva temple site destroyed by heavy rains. So far bodies of 16 people have been recovered in this accident and relief and rescue work is still going on here.
