Our party leaders gave their lives, what did you do? Has anyone in your house even died for the country? Has (someone) made any sacrifice? No.

The Rajya Sabha proceedings began at 11 am. Only about 15 minutes had passed. BJP MPs appealed to Kharge to apologize.

Piyush Goyal said that after independence, Mahatma Gandhi had said that the Congress should be dissolved. Kharge ji is a living example of this and is showing the country that what Gandhi ji said was true and that he is such a national president who does not know how to speak. Until he apologizes, he has no right to be here.

On the other hand, Kharge said, 'What I said during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Alwar, Rajasthan was outside the House. What I said was politically outside the House, not inside. There is no need to discuss that here. I can still say that he had no role in the freedom struggle.
