Pi Day 2023: Maths Day is celebrated on March 14 at 1.59 pm because of Pi value 3.14159, this is the theme of this year

International Mathematics Pi Day 2023: Today, March 14, is International Mathematics Day. Due to the value of 22/7 i.e. 3.14159 ... (approximate) of the widely used constant Pi (Pi) in mathematical theories, every year March 14th of the third month of the calendar year is celebrated as Pi Day. The special thing is that Pi Day is celebrated only at 1.59 pm on March 14. During the 40th General Assembly of UNESCO of the United Nations in November 2019, Pi Day was announced to be celebrated as International Mathematics Day. Since then every year Pi Day i.e. March 14 is also celebrated as International Mathematics Day. In many countries, Pi Day is also celebrated on July 22, because the value of Pi is also 22/7.

 

International Mathematics Day 2023: The theme of Pi Day or Mathematics Day this year

The main theme of International Mathematics Day or Pi Day being celebrated in the year 2023 has been 'Mathematics for Everyone'. On this occasion UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay said that on this International Mathematics Day we are celebrating our history which started in Africa 20 thousand years ago.
