The court granted bail to the Congress leader who appeared amid heavy security.
Rahul Gandhi had reached Sultanpur court to appear in the defamation case of 2018. Sultanpur MP MLA court granted him bail and he left for Amethi. Defamation case against Rahul
Mishra's advocate Santosh Pandey said that based on the statement and evidence of the complainant and two witnesses, Special Magistrate Yogesh Yadav had ordered a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi on November 27 last year. After this, summons were issued thrice to appear. On the last appearance date (January 18), senior advocate Kashi Prasad Shukla had filed the Vakalatnama on behalf of Rahul.
