Amid the controversy over Ranveer Allahabadia's obscene comments on the show 'India's Got Luttent' hosted by Samay Raina, singer B Praak has cancelled his upcoming podcast with the YouTuber. The singer announced this on his social media account and also explained the reason behind it.
B Praak's post
On his Instagram handle, B Praak shared a video in which he can be heard saying, "I was going to go for a podcast on beer biceps and we cancelled it because of the pathetic thinking and the kind of words used on Samay Raina's show. This is not our Indian culture."
Abusive language in the name of comedy
He further said, "What kind of things are you sharing about your parents? Is this comedy? This is not a comedy at all. This cannot be stand-up comedy. Teaching people to abuse. I don't understand which generation this is. A Sardar ji also comes on the show. Sardar ji, you are a Sikh, do you like these things? What kind of education are you giving? He also uploads clips on his Instagram, in which he says - Yes I abuse, what is the problem in it? By the way, we have a problem with it.'
Questions raised on Ranveer's mentality
Attacking Ranveer Allahabadia, B Prak said, 'You promote Sanatan Dharma. You talk about spirituality. So many big names come to your show and you have such a mentality? I request all of you, if we are not able to stop this now, then the future of our children is in danger. Please, I request Samay Raina and other comedians who are a part of the show not to do this. Please maintain our Indian culture and inspire people.' The singer wrote in the caption of the video, 'My humble request to all standup comedians is to please save our Indian culture and respect.'
What is the whole matter?
Ranveer Allahabadia recently appeared on Samay Raina's show. During this episode, he asked a participant a controversial question about the intimate relationship of his parents. His comments went viral on social media and users criticized him strongly. Several cases have also been registered against Ranveer and Samay. Seeing the controversy growing, Ranveer has also apologized by sharing a video on social media, but there was widespread outrage among all users, politicians and stars.
