Lucknow Supergiants' regular captain KL Rahul took the field as an impact player in the last match against Punjab Kings. Lucknow has to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today and once again all eyes will be on whether Rahul will enter this match as an impact player or will be seen handling the responsibility completely. Lucknow management says that Rahul should not be given too much workload while returning from injury, hence he is being played as an impact player. It is believed that Nicholas Puran will be seen commanding the team against RCB also.

When Lucknow's standby captain Puran was asked about Nicholas' availability, he said, 'We will see what Rahul does during practice and take a decision on that basis.' This indicates that Rahul will not be in the role of wicketkeeper in today's match and Quinton de Kock will take charge behind the wicket in his place. Duplessis will have to perform better
Faf Duplessis, who has not been able to impress with his bat so far in the current season of IPL, will have to perform better against Lucknow. Duplessis' bat is on fire against the Lucknow bowlers. RCB can give a chance to Reece Topley or Lockie Ferguson in place of Joseph.

It is a matter of relief for Lucknow that its uncapped Indian fast bowler Mayank Yadav is consistently bowling at a speed of 150 kmph.
