Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Users Can Now Share Files With iPhones Using Quick Share

Posted on 9th Oct 2026 11:44 am by rohit kumar

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE users have a reason to celebrate. The smartphone has reportedly received support for sharing files directly with Apple devices through Google’s Quick Share and AirDrop integration. The feature has arrived with the stable One UI 9 update, making it easier to transfer photos, videos and other files between compatible Samsung phones and iPhones without relying on third-party apps.

The update is particularly significant for Galaxy S25 FE owners, as the feature had previously been available on select flagship Android devices. The addition brings Samsung’s Fan Edition smartphone into the expanding list of devices that support cross-platform wireless file sharing.

AirDrop-Like Quick Share Feature Arrives on Galaxy S25 FE

According to technology reports, the new functionality was spotted by tipster Tarun Vats on social media. The feature reportedly became available on the Galaxy S25 FE following the stable One UI 9 software update.

Quick Share is Samsung and Google’s file-sharing solution for transferring content between compatible devices. With AirDrop compatibility, supported Android phones can also exchange files with Apple devices using their existing wireless sharing systems.

Users can share photos, videos and documents directly, reducing the need to upload files to cloud storage or send them through messaging apps that may compress media.

Samsung’s official update log lists the Galaxy S25 FE’s One UI 9 update as released on October 6, 2026. However, software features can vary by model, region and update version.

How to Transfer Files From Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to iPhone

The cross-platform sharing process is designed to be straightforward, although both devices must meet the compatibility and visibility requirements.

On the iPhone, open Settings, go to General, select AirDrop and set visibility to “Everyone for 10 Minutes”.

On the Samsung phone, open Settings and navigate to Connected devices, then Quick Share.

Enable “Share with Apple devices” if the option is available.

Select the photo, video or file you want to share and tap the Share icon.

Select Quick Share and select the nearby iPhone.

The iPhone user must accept the incoming transfer.

Both devices should be nearby, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. The exact menu options may vary depending on the phone model and software version.

Why the Update Matters for Galaxy S25 FE Users

Previously, cross-platform wireless sharing was limited to a selected group of Android devices. That meant some users had to rely on messaging apps, cloud links or other workarounds to transfer large videos and high-resolution photos to iPhone owners.

The reported addition of AirDrop compatibility to the Galaxy S25 FE makes the process more convenient. It could be particularly useful for people who regularly exchange large files with friends, family members or colleagues using different mobile operating systems.

The development also addresses complaints from users who noticed that some premium Galaxy devices received new sharing capabilities before the Fan Edition model.

Is AirDrop-Like Sharing Available on All Samsung Phones?

No. The feature should not be assumed to work on every Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Google’s official Quick Share compatibility page lists several supported Samsung models, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra and S25 Edge, but it does not yet list the Galaxy S25 FE. The reported FE rollout therefore represents a development worth watching, while broader compatibility still depends on official support and software availability.

Samsung and Google may expand support to additional devices over time, but users should check their phone’s Quick Share settings and install the latest compatible software before expecting the feature to work.

The Future of Android-to-iPhone File Sharing

Cross-platform file sharing has long been a source of frustration for smartphone users. Apple’s AirDrop is convenient within its own ecosystem, while Android users have traditionally relied on Quick Share and other transfer methods.

Bringing the two systems closer together is a meaningful step towards a more seamless experience across platforms. If compatibility expands to more affordable and older Android phones, users could find it much easier to share large photos, videos and documents regardless of which smartphone they own.

For now, Galaxy S25 FE owners should check for the One UI 9 update and confirm whether the “Share with Apple devices” option is available on their device.
