Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is in the news these days about his recently released film 'Jawaan'. This film of King Khan is breaking earning records at the box office. Shahrukh entered Bollywood with the film 'Deewana' released in 1992. Along with this, he had signed five more films. During an interview, the film's producer Guddu Dhanoa revealed that initially the actor did not have time to shoot for Deewana and said that he would do the film when he had time.

But after the 20-day shooting of 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman' was canceled, Shahrukh agreed to shoot for Deewana. His film proved to be a hit at the box office. During the interview, Guddu recalled how Shahrukh got this role. He said, “I was making a film, but the hero refused. After this Shekhar Kapur suggested, 'Take Shahrukh'. So I asked, 'Who is Shahrukh?'

He further said, “I told Shahrukh that we have to do a film, but he said that he cannot do one film because he is already doing five films. So, I suggest that you at least listen to the story of the film.

Shahrukh asked the producer to come to his house and narrate the film. After hearing the story, the actor agreed to do the film but said that he could give her dates only if the shooting of his ongoing film got canceled.

He further said, 'After the shooting of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman was canceled, Shahrukh called him and said that his 20-day shoot had been canceled and he wanted to shoot for Deewana. I said yes…I remember we had a Poonawala bungalow in Mud Island and we used to shoot there. This was Divya Bharti's house. We used to take Shahrukh to the ghat from Versova.”
