The old Congress headquarters was located at 24 Akbar Road in Lutyens Bungalow Zone. But now the new address of the Congress headquarters is 9-A Indira Gandhi Bhawan on Kotla Marg. The foundation stone of the new building was laid by Sonia Gandhi on 28 December 2009.

Very modern new headquarters

The new Congress headquarters is equipped with many modern facilities. The reception has been built right in the middle of the building. There is a high-tech press conference room on the left side on the ground floor. The office of the media in charge of Congress will also be on this side.

High-tech auditoriums have been built for programs on the first floor. On the second, third, and fourth floors, there will be offices of All India Congress Committee officials. There will be separate offices for Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge.

Rooms for spokespersons too

The canteen area is built right behind the reception. There will be separate rooms for the Farmers Department and the Data Department. Small soundproof chambers have been made for the spokespersons participating in TV debates.

Sitting rooms have also been made for journalists and cameramen right next to it. There are also pictures of many old party leaders in the new headquarters. Many of them have already left the party. Priyanka Gandhi is said to be the brain behind this.

The court had given the order.

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had asked to remove the offices of political parties from Lutyens Zone in an order. After this, the central government started the process of allocating plots for offices to political parties near Deendayal Upadhyay Marg connecting ITO Chowk and Connaught Place in 2005-06.

The offices of BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are also at a short distance from the new Congress headquarters. Delhi Congress also has an office on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg. The office of Delhi BJP will also shift here soon.
