SRH vs LSG Playing-11: What will happen to Lucknow today? Will face Hyderabad with a weak bowling attack, probable-11

Posted on 27th Mar 2025 11:42 am by rohit kumar

Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Lucknow Super Giants in the seventh match of IPL 2025 today. This match will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad from 7.30 pm. With the kind of fear Sunrisers have created in other teams, this challenge is not going to be easy for Lucknow. The biggest problem for Lucknow at the moment is their weak bowling. Many star bowlers of Lucknow are injured and are in NCA. However, the return of Avesh Khan will give some courage to Lucknow, but it will not be easy to stop Hyderabad.

Lucknow fast bowlers injured

Lucknow pacers Akash Deep, Mohsin Khan, and Mayank Yadav are injured and are waiting to get fit. In such a situation, the team has to go with Prince Yadav, and Shardul Thakur. However, in the last match against Delhi, these bowlers could not defend a score of 200+. Today there will be explosive batsmen like Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan in front, so the bowlers of Lucknow will have to bowl on the exact line length. Even a single mistake can create problems for Lucknow. The return of Avesh is good news for the Lucknow Super Giants.

Sunrisers' aggressive style remains.

Last year's runner-up Sunrisers' team has maintained its aggressive style this season as well. In the first match against Rajasthan Royals, its team came close to breaking its record of highest score in IPL. Sunrisers won this match by 44 runs. The batsmen of Sunrisers led by Pat Cummins did not let the bowlers of Rajasthan Royals do anything in the last match and scored 286 runs for six wickets, which also included a century by Ishan Kishan.

Kishan is on a mission.

It seemed that Kishan was on a mission. He scored his first century in IPL after being released by Mumbai Indians and hit six sixes and 11 fours in his unbeaten innings of 106 runs in 47 balls. Apart from Head, Kishan and Abhishek, the team has aggressive batsmen like Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen. In such circumstances, Lucknow will have to come on the field with a clear plan in the bowling department, otherwise, the Hyderabad team can also make a record score today. Apart from this, the team has a good bowling attack in the form of Mohammed Shami, Cummins and Harshal Patel. Among the spinners, the team has Adam Zampa. Fast bowler Simarjit Singh, who arrived in Hyderabad from Chennai, created a stir by taking two wickets in one over in the last match.

Rishabh Pant could not open the account.

Lucknow captain Pant could not even open the account in the last match. Not only this, he also made mistakes in wicketkeeping. When Delhi had only one wicket left and needed six runs in the last over, Pant missed an easy chance of stumping. In the last match for Lucknow, Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran batted aggressively and scored half-centuries. In this match too, the team will expect similar performance from them. However, the middle order batsmen of Lucknow will have to perform better.

Shardul's responsibility increased.

In the last match, except for spinner Ravi Bishnoi, Lucknow's bowlers could not perform well. Its fast bowling department has become weak due to the injury of some key bowlers and in such a situation, the responsibility of Shardul Thakur, whom Lucknow had included in its team in place of Mohsin Khan just before the first match. Marsh is not fully fit yet and he has only been allowed to bat. In such a situation, the team is using him as an impact player.

Statistics of Hyderabad-Lucknow match

The teams of Hyderabad and Lucknow have faced each other four times so far. Out of these, the Lucknow team won three times, while the Hyderabad team won once. Last year, when the two teams came face to face, Sunrisers defeated Lucknow by 10 wickets in Hyderabad. Before that, Lucknow had won all three matches. Two matches have been played between SRH and LSG at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Of these, one was won by SRH and one by Lucknow.
