Rahul of Nagla Macharia village of Dadon area had eloped with his would-be mother-in-law Sapna of Manoharpur Kayastha village of Madrak area on April 6. Rahul was to get married to Sapna's daughter on April 16. The relationship was fixed four months ago and a few days after that Rahul and Sapna fell in love. The daughter did not even know about it. Sapna and Rahul ran away from here to Kasganj.
Rahul's friends dropped them off on a bike. Both friends are from his village. Police went to Kasganj with them on Sunday. Friends told that they dropped them off at some distance from the station. Police searched the CCTV footage installed at the station. Rahul is seen standing alone in one camera. After this, the police showed the photo to the employees and inquired, but nothing was found.
The police have taken the friends into custody.
Apart from the two friends, the police have taken a young man from their village and Rahul's brother-in-law in custody. Madrak police station SO Arvind Kumar said that teams have gone to several districts in search of the two. Efforts are being made to find out where Rahul went from the station.
