Tirupati Laddu: Animal fat found in Tirupati Laddu, now voices of protest have started rising, BJP called it an insult to Hindus

TDP accused the use of animal fat in the world-famous Tirupati Laddu and claimed that it has been confirmed in the lab. Now after this claim of TDP, voices of protest have started rising from all over the country. BJP said that the previous YSRCP government of Andhra Pradesh had hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community and said that action should be taken against those responsible as soon as possible.

After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the previous YSRCP government used animal fat in Tirupati Prasadam, BJP OBC Morcha President K Laxman on Thursday demanded legal action.

 

BJP leader K Laxman said that this is extremely unfortunate. The sentiments of the Hindu community have been hurt very badly. He further said that the entire Hindu community around the world condemns the action of the then government. We demand strict legal action from the current Chandrababu-led NDA government.

 

Will file a complaint against Jagan Mohan Reddy - BJP leader

 

BJP leader and former TTD board member, Bhanu Prakash Reddy condemned the alleged use of animal fat in the holy Tirupati Prasadam at Sri Venkateswara temple and said that he will file a complaint against the previous YSRCP government led by former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. He further said that this is a very bad thing that has happened in the history of Tirumala.

 

He said that we are very sad and we condemn it. Jagan Mohan Reddy's government wanted to hurt the sentiments of Hindu pilgrims, especially the devotees of Balaji. TDP spokesperson shows lab report

 

Following CM Naidu's allegation, TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday shared a copy of the lab report and alleged that beef fat and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee that was supplied to Tirumala for laddus. He said the lab report of the samples sent for testing to the National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat certifies that beef fat, animal fat, and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee that was supplied to Tirumala.

Notably, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday alleged that the previous YSRCP government had used substandard material and animal fat in making Tirupati laddus. State Social Welfare Minister Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has said that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the irregularities. He compromised the quality of 'annadanam' (free food) and even contaminated the sacred Tirumala laddu by using animal fat instead of ghee.

 

Serious damage to the faith of Hindus

YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP and former TTD chairman Subba Reddy denied the allegations, calling them malicious, and said the TDP supremo would not stoop to any level for political gains. Subba Reddy, Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle, said Naidu's remarks had caused serious damage to the sanctity of the temple and the faith of crores of Hindus.
