After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the previous YSRCP government used animal fat in Tirupati Prasadam, BJP OBC Morcha President K Laxman on Thursday demanded legal action.

BJP leader and former TTD board member, Bhanu Prakash Reddy condemned the alleged use of animal fat in the holy Tirupati Prasadam at Sri Venkateswara temple and said that he will file a complaint against the previous YSRCP government led by former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. He further said that this is a very bad thing that has happened in the history of Tirumala.

TDP spokesperson shows lab report
Following CM Naidu's allegation, TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday shared a copy of the lab report and alleged that beef fat and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee that was supplied to Tirumala for laddus. He said the lab report of the samples sent for testing to the National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat certifies that beef fat, animal fat, and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee that was supplied to Tirumala.

Notably, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday alleged that the previous YSRCP government had used substandard material and animal fat in making Tirupati laddus. State Social Welfare Minister Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has said that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the irregularities. He compromised the quality of 'annadanam' (free food) and even contaminated the sacred Tirumala laddu by using animal fat instead of ghee.
