The smartphone’s biggest highlight is its 10,000mAh battery, which Vivo says can deliver up to 68 hours of calling time or 30 hours of video playback under specified laboratory conditions. Other highlights include a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, a 50MP Sony rear camera and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

Vivo S2 FE 5G price in India and launch offers

Vivo has introduced the S2 FE in two RAM and storage configurations. Both variants offer 128GB of internal storage.

Variant                                          Price in India

6GB RAM + 128GB storage                ₹38,999

8GB RAM + 128GB storage                ₹42,999

The phone is available in three colour options: Stellar Green, Titan Black and Zen White.

Vivo’s launch offers include up to 10% instant cashback or an exchange bonus of up to 10%, subject to applicable terms and participating partners. Buyers can also get discounts of up to 40% on selected V-Shield screen-protection and extended-warranty plans, a one-year extended warranty and six months of Google One 100GB cloud storage, subject to the offer conditions.

The Vivo S2 FE can be purchased through Vivo’s official online store, partner retail outlets, Flipkart and Amazon. Offers and availability may vary by retailer, payment method and location.

Vivo S2 FE specifications: Display and processor

The Vivo S2 FE features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2,800 × 1,260 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 2,000 nits of high-brightness mode, which is designed to improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

The display also supports HDR10+ and a reported 1.07 billion colours, making it suitable for watching videos, browsing social media and playing compatible games.

Powering the handset is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G processor. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone also features a 3,800-square-millimetre vapour chamber cooling system intended to help manage heat during activities such as gaming, video playback and charging.

The device runs OriginOS 6. Buyers should check the official specifications and retailer listing for the exact software version and configuration available in their market.

10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging

The biggest talking point of the Vivo S2 FE is its 10,000mAh BlueVolt battery, which is significantly larger than the batteries commonly found in smartphones.

According to Vivo’s laboratory tests, the battery can provide up to 68 hours of calling time and 30 hours of video playback on a full charge. These figures refer to specific test conditions and single-app usage; actual endurance depends on factors such as network strength, screen brightness, apps, temperature and individual usage habits.

The battery supports 44W wired fast charging. Vivo also advertises fourth-generation silicon-anode battery technology and says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles under its laboratory testing conditions.

For people who travel frequently, use their phones for navigation or consume a lot of video content, the high-capacity battery could be a key reason to consider the device.

Vivo S2 FE camera features

For photography, the Vivo S2 FE has a dual rear-camera setup and a high-resolution front camera.

50MP Sony IMX852 main camera: Designed to capture detailed photographs in supported shooting modes.

2MP bokeh camera: Supports portrait photography with a background-blur effect.

32MP front camera: Features a 90-degree field of view for selfies and group shots.

The phone also includes an AI Erase feature for removing selected unwanted elements from photographs. As with other AI-assisted editing tools, results can vary depending on the image and the subject being removed.

IP68 and IP69 ratings, connectivity and durability

The Vivo S2 FE carries IP68 and IP69 ratings under controlled laboratory testing. These ratings indicate resistance to dust and specified water-exposure conditions, but they do not mean the phone is waterproof in every situation. Water resistance can also decline with normal wear and tear, and liquid damage may not be covered by the warranty.

Connectivity features include 5G, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and a USB Type-C port. The device also supports reverse charging, allowing it to supply power to compatible accessories or other devices.

Vivo additionally advertises military-standard testing for selected environmental and drop-resistance conditions. Such testing should not be taken as a guarantee against damage from every fall or accident.

Is the Vivo S2 FE worth considering?

The Vivo S2 FE stands out primarily for its 10,000mAh battery, large AMOLED screen and durability features. Its two configurations give buyers a choice between a ₹38,999 entry price and a higher-memory option at ₹42,999.

However, prospective buyers should also consider the phone’s weight, charging time, camera requirements and performance needs before making a decision. A larger battery can reduce the need for frequent charging, but real-world endurance varies, and a high battery capacity alone does not establish that a phone is the best choice for every user.

For buyers who prioritise battery capacity and a large display, the Vivo S2 FE offers a distinctive set of features in its price segment.
