Nandani Sharma was among the biggest movers in the latest ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings. The right-arm fast bowler climbed 26 places to reach 45th position after taking three wickets across the first two matches against Zimbabwe.

Nandani claimed two wickets for 11 runs in the opening match and has emerged as one of the joint-leading wicket-takers in the series. Her performances also helped her reach a career-best rating of 507 points.

Her teammate Kranti Gaud made progress as well, moving up nine places to 43rd in the T20I bowling rankings. Kranti took one wicket in each of the first two matches, delivering consistent performances as India built an unassailable series lead.

The rankings gains underline the contribution of India’s pace attack alongside its established spin options.

Sree Charani and Deepti Sharma retain top two positions

India’s spin duo continues to lead the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings. Sree Charani remains at No. 1, while experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma holds second place.

Both players featured in India’s dominant run against Zimbabwe. Their performances helped India restrict the visitors in Raipur before the batters completed a nine-wicket victory in the second T20I.

Charani’s position at the top follows an impressive period in international cricket. She reached a record 817 rating points in September 2026, the highest rating ever recorded in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings.

Annabel Sutherland enters top 10 in T20I bowling rankings

There were also changes in the T20I bowling rankings following the opening match of the Australia-New Zealand series in Sydney.

Kerr climbed five places to 17th, Illing rose six places to 23rd, and Patel advanced five places to 35th. The changes reflect the impact of their performances in the opening match of the trans-Tasman series.

New Zealand batters gain ground; Beth Mooney remains No. 1

New Zealand batters Maddy Green and Georgia Plimmer also made gains in the latest ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings, despite Australia winning the series opener by two wickets.

Green climbed three places to 34th, while Plimmer rose 13 spots to 48th after an unbeaten 85. The pair combined for an unbeaten 127-run partnership for the third wicket as New Zealand posted 162 for two.

Australia’s Beth Mooney retained the No. 1 position in the Women’s T20I batting rankings. Meanwhile, Australia batter Ellyse Perry scored 52 off 30 balls in the chase, helping her team secure victory in a closely contested match.

Megan, Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland make ODI gains

The latest rankings update also rewarded Australian players for their performances in the Women’s ODI series against Bangladesh, which Australia won 3-0.

Fast bowler Megan moved up one place to fourth in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings after taking four wickets for 16 runs in the final match. She finished the series with 10 wickets.

Ellyse Perry climbed one place to ninth in the ODI batting rankings and advanced 14 places to joint-25th in the ODI all-rounder rankings.

Annabel Sutherland also made progress in the ODI batting charts, rising four places to a career-best 13th after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the series finale. Bangladesh batter Sharmin Akhter also gained five places to reach 25th.

What the latest ICC Women’s rankings mean for India

The latest update highlights India’s strength in the T20I bowling department, with Sree Charani and Deepti Sharma occupying the top two spots and Nandani Sharma and Kranti Gaud improving their positions.

India’s 2-0 lead over Zimbabwe has provided a timely boost for its bowlers, while the rankings changes across Australia and New Zealand show how individual performances can influence the international standings.
