The sky will remain clear in Kashmir
Widespread rain and hailstorm occurred in different parts of Himachal, bringing some respite from the hot weather. The Shimla Meteorological Office said in a statement that the hailstorm in Shimla was about 2 mm. An official of the Meteorological Department in Srinagar said that the sky will be clear in Kashmir after light snowfall in many parts of the Union Territory. However, the weather office expects the temperature to rise over the Konkan region and other parts of the western region in the next few days.
The temperature may increase in the Konkan region and other parts of the West
The Meteorological Department has predicted a rise in temperature in the Konkan region and other parts of the west in the next few days. The increase in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand maybe 5-11 degrees above normal. There is no rainfall in February except in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions. Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are rain deficient by 99 percent till February 20, while the Ganga areas of West Bengal are rain deficient by 97 percent. Also, there has been a 99 percent rainfall deficiency in Odisha, 99 percent in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and 100 percent in East and West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Therefore, an increase in the temperature of the weather can be seen.
Weather patterns changed due to the effect of western disturbance and anticyclone
Naresh Kumar, the senior scientist of the Meteorological Department, said, “There has been a slight drop in temperature by 1-2 degrees due to the effect of western disturbance on Monday, but it is several degrees above normal. He said that the anticyclone is also moving over the Arabian Sea. So we do not get any great relief from the above-normal temperature. Mahesh Palawat, vice-president of climate and meteorology at Skymet Weather Services, a private forecaster, said the wind pattern at the surface remained southwesterly, bringing warm, dry winds. That's why we can see a temperature rise.
