The murder of 25-year-old youth Rinku Sharma in the Mangolpuri area of Delhi has caught fire. Demanding justice for Rinku has started trending on Twitter with the hashtag #JusticeForRinkuSharma. It is being told that Rinku Sharma was associated with BJP and VHP and was also raising funds for the Ram temple these days. However, the police have rejected such claims.
Many famous personalities, including BJP leader Sambit Patra, have expressed their displeasure over the incident and demanded justice for Rinku Sharma. At the same time, VHP has said that Rinku Sharma was involved in a fund surrender campaign for the Ram temple and due to this he was killed. VHP leader Surendra Jain has demanded that the killers be hanged. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra tweeted in this case, 'Rinku Sharma, Jai Shri Ram.' After this tweet, the political boil has increased. Not only this, but filmmaker Ashok Pandit has also raised this issue and demanded justice.
At present, the Delhi Police has arrested the four accused of killing Rinku Sharma. Rinku Sharma was killed late Wednesday night in the Mangolpuri area of outer Delhi. According to the police, Rinku Sharma was stabbed to death by four men after a debate at a birthday party. The police have refused to speak on the communal angle of the murder, but the brother of the deceased says that he was murdered for religious reasons.
The deceased youth Rinku Sharma worked as a technician in a private hospital and lived in Mangolpuri with his family. Police said the four arrested people have been identified as Mohammad Danish (36), Mohammad Islam (45), Zahid (26), and Mohammad Mehtab (20). Danish and Islam work as Taylor, Zahid is a college student, and Mehtab studies in class XII.
A police officer said that Danish and Rinku had an argument in their neighborhood at a birthday party on Wednesday night, after which Rinku was killed at around 11 am. Both Danish and Rinku were invited to the party. After the party, when Rinku leaves for his house with his friend, Danish stops him. After this, they again got into an argument and Rinku slapped Danish. Danish, who was with his three friends, grabbed Rinku and stabbed him. The friend also suffered minor injuries while trying to save Rinku. After Rinku's fall, the four accused ran away.
The police officer said that the police are still trying to find out what was the reason for the debate. In an injured condition, Rinku was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The hospital staff reported the matter to the police. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (External) Sudhanshu Dhama said that during preliminary investigation, Danish and his friends have been identified and the four have been arrested after the raid.
